It was a time of getting grounded in the the fundamentals of Psychiatry at the just concluded postgraduate revision course in Psychiatry 2014, where over 70 participants where involved in the course work representing various levels of the psychiatric postgraduate revision course organized by the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria.
This was a two week program and it covered every area related to psychiatry and its associated disciplines. The facilitators were fantastic and friendly. The Faculty board of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria must be commended for putting such improvements in the content package this year including the expert team of facilitators involved in the program this year.
The two week program was really a boot camp and was also a time for expanding network and increased social interaction, particularly with future leaders of mental health parlance in the country.
Finally, one must also commend the staff of Aro, both clinical and non-clinical, for their cordial and friendly disposition and respect towards all participants - trust the typical Yoruba culture! It was a really great experience.
I have no doubt that this experience will go a long way in helping Winning Health Initiative (WHIN) achieve its mission and objective which means ... everyone wins with positive mental health!
See you at the TOP!
